What can you do to help our cause?
Make a Donation. NextStep Recycling is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization founded in 2002. To date, most of the work at NextStep Recycling has been done by volunteers. Please join our effort to narrow the digital divide and strengthen the presence of groups working to make life better for others around the world.
Are their tax benefits for donations by individuals?
For individuals, the charitable deduction for contributions of technology equals the fair market value (retail used value in the current market place) of the donated property. NextStep provides a receipts that lists the donated material. Shipping costs are also tax deductible under applicable rules and regulations.
What are the tax benefits to corporate donors?
The IRS code provides for a tax deduction for property donated to a charitable organization such as NextStep under applicable rules and regulations. For Corporate donors, tax deductions are usually limited to the amount of the donor's tax basis in the property contributed. NextStep provides a receipt to our business donors. Confirm eligibility for the deductions with your own tax advisor. Warehousing and shipping costs are also tax deductible under applicable rules and regulations.
