It is with an extremely heavy heart that I have to share the news that one of NextStep’s fabulous supporters, Marvin Loper, died in a plane crash on Monday.

I can not believe this beautiful man is gone. Many of us at NextStep have worked directly with Marvin as he dedicated his expertise to help NextStep staff work on our internal communications, and on our communications/outreach to the wide world.

Marvin loved the mission of NextStep, our dedication to bridging the digital divide, and leveling the educational playing field for all of our community members.

He was immensely impressed with all of our staff and volunteers. Every time I spoke with him he had such glowing comments about each and everyone at NextStep that he interacted with. Marvin was an incredible mentor to me and I will miss his brilliance in my life.
